Online ordering – Creating a Registry
June 6, 2010One of the neatest features of the ordering system that I have is that it supports a registry!
Like how couples or expectant parents register at different stores for products that they need, my ordering system supports the creation of registries where people’s friends and families can contribute to their photographic services! Imagine being able to have your friends and family contributing to your photography budget for your wedding, or for baby portraits.
Registries are very easy to create, the first thing is that you need to create an account and log into the ordering system.
Step 1. You’ll need to connect to my ordering system and then click log in. After logging in, click on the “Registry” link
Step 2. When the “Create a Registry” screen displays, you’ll need to enter your name or an event description in the box, select a date for your event, and then click the “Continue” button.
Step 3. On the next screen, you can enter a special message for those who visit your registry. When you’re finished, click the “Create Registry” button.
Step 4. That’s it! Your registry is created. Please note your registration code, as this is what people will need to find your registry. You will be able to maintain your registry, so don’t worry too much if you lose this code. If you’d like some text to email your friends and family, please click the “Click here to continue” link.
Step 5. This is the Registry edit screen. If you want some text to email your friends and family, click the “Generate Message” link.
Step 6. Use the text box here to edit your message. Once you’re happy with it, highlight it and press Control-C to copy the text and use Control-V to paste the text into an email message.
Step 7. If you need to edit or view your registry, you can get to it by hovering your mouse over the words “My Account” at the top menu. A menu will expand below it. The option you want is “View my registry”
That’s about it!
